Birthday 2009

Yesterday was my 28th birthday and I did it in a very quiet way, with beloved ones. Decided to stay over at the Tays' on Tuesday night, had homecooked dinner by Glen and a day of new discovery for myself.

This is me, having my first meal after the clock strikes 12 midnight, it's ban mian cooked by Glen.

We didn't have much plan for my birthday, except for Night Safari at night. Glen brought me to their usual excursion locations, and this is my birthday with the animals.

Went to this Mainland Fish Farm in Tampines and then the Gallop Stable at Pasir Ris, where Kymmie had her pony ride.

Had an early dinner with Glen and Kymmie (having to leave poor Zach at home with granny), and Glen was sweet enough to get me a small cake, having Kymmie sing me a birthday song and wanting to blow off the candle (again, like last year).

Haven't been to the Night Safari for awhile, as the animal shows were canceled due to the rain. all we did was walk the trails and go on the tram ride, which was much fruitful.

After awhile, birthday celebrations are not as important as having close ones with me. I don't need big birthday parties, but I appreciate having close friends around who bother. Received lots of birthday wishes and prayers from all over, thanks to technology. I had friends smsing me through the day, even abroad and sending me messages on Facebook.

Strangely, alot of the prayers for me this year have something to do with Desires of my heart. Probably coincidence, but I don't think so, as this is taken from Psalm 37:4, one of my favorite verse in the bible, "Delight in the Lord and He will grant you the desires of your heart." I say Amen to that and claiming that for my new year.
